We believe in creating a better world with thoughtful practices and small steps that have tangible impact.

Our founders share a deep passion for both sustainability and sports. This passion drives our initiatives, from supporting local sports teams to implementing sustainable practices in all of our business processes.

Füchse Berlin Sponsoring and Engagement

We at the XU Group are a very happy partner of the Füchse handball club. For us, being a “Premium Partner” of the Füchse means much more than just marketing, because we can combine our vision of sustainability and environmental protection with our passion for handball.

We appreciate the Füchse’s openness to see sponsorship as inspiration and to get involved in the goals of partners like us. Together we make the Füchse a role model not only in terms of sports, but also in terms of sustainability.

Our commitment is active and involved. XU Group CEO Dr. Christopher Jahns is:

  • Co-Chairman Sustainability Board EHF
  • Co-Chairman Sustainability Board HBL
  • Board Member for Sustainability and Development Füchse Berlin

“I love handball, and the Füchse Berlin have been “my” team for as long as I can remember. Sustainability, in turn, has long been a topic close to our hearts.”

Supporting Max Camp e.V.

Sports and especially handball is a passion of our founding couple Christopher and Nicole. That’s why they also support Max Ramota, former handball professional, and his team from max-camp e.V. as private sponsors.

It all started with handball camps. The club now offers almost ten holiday camps every year, where the emphasis lies on having fun playing handball, social interaction and team spirit. The focus is particularly on the topic of “sports and inclusion”.

The aim is to open handball to people with disabilities and to enable them to participate in the sport through an open and barrier-free approach.

Christopher and Nicole were able to experience this for themselves at Max Camp 2024 on Sylt:

“I see how young, talented handball players have handball training together with children with disabilities in Westerland in the morning and play beach handball here on the beach in the afternoon – completely naturally together – that’s what Max and his team make possible.”

SLZB (Berlin School and Competitive Sports Center) funding

The SLZB is the elite sports school in Berlin for ambitious children and young people from different nations, with and without the need for inclusion. On top of support for their competitive sports, the students are taught in all types of schools up to the Abitur and part-time in order to prepare them for life outside of sports in addition to their sporting career.

“Sports can be a powerful role model for change. How would it be if the enthusiasm for sports could also be used for the topic of sustainability? XU Group provides the SLZB with free access to the “School of Sustainable Sports” for teachers and students in order to sensitize the young athletes to the topic and win them over as ambassadors.”
